Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups coconut flour
3 tbsp dark cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1 large egg
1/2 cup Swerve sugar subsitute
2 tbsp avocado oil
1 cup milk
1 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 scoop chocolate protein powder ( I like Fusion Chocolate)
For glaze:
Swerve powder sugar
protein powder
milk (enough to get the glaze/frosting consistency you like)
Directions:
Preheat over 350 degrees
mix all dry ingredients together. in separate bowl mix oil, egg milk & vanilla. mix until smooth. mix in dry ingredients. mix until well incorporated. spray donuts pans (I use 2) with cooking spray. spoon batter into pans, do not over fill.
Bake 13-15 minutes. Remove and cool on wire racks. once cooled, glaze. I also added walnuts and pistachios to the tops.
I made and brought to work and they where a big hit!! Who said donuts are not healthy!!!
